As a photojournalist for the last decade, Helen Klisser During has received commissions and awards for her ability to exposure unique stories that create social consciousness. She worked in support of Helen Clark, documenting and championing her work at the United Nations Development Programme, and serving as the still photographer for Gaylene Preston's 2016 film "My Year with Helen: The Helen Clark Documentary."
Helen has taken on assignments worldwide for AmeriCares in El Salvador, Guatemala, Dominican Republic and Nicaragua; for Carma Foundation in Haiti; and for The United Nations in Malawi and Rwanda. She has won awards for photojournalistic excellence in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 from the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ), Connecticut Chapter.
Her photographs and photo essays have been published in a wide range of national and international publications including: Architectural Digest, The Art Market Report, Art New Zealand, ArtForum.com, Artnet.com, Connecticut Cottages & Gardens, Hamptons Cottages & Gardens, LarrysList.com, Magazin, Monopol Magazin, New Zealand Herald, NYCGo.com, Richtopia.com, Stuff.co.nz, and WestportNow.com.
